Billions And Billions of Particles.

Billions And Billions of Particles.

You ready to get your brain blown through your eyes and ears? How about you let Neil DeGrrasse Tyson just go to town on your perception of the universe and your role in it.

This just goes to show you that Neil DeGrassie Tyson is like the Carl Sagan of this generation, though with more humor, less pot and no Kermit the Frog voice. Yes, if you wish to make a muppet, you must first invent the universe.

When you attribute a fictitious deity to the fascinating complexity of the universe... you're seeing it through a brand name invented by humans. You religious type just seem to cheapen the wonders and amazement that is the universe with a simple "Made by God -Nuff said". Don't you think that we deserve better than that?

When we know so much about the universe around us already, it really confuses me as to why people are still satisfied by the whole concept that "God did it".

Call me a pussy or sentimental if you will, but I loved going out to the middle of nowhere. The desert or just away from any light pollution possible just to stare up at the sky. My favorite times at night gazing were in Texas. Vast fields of nothing but stars. Just sitting there with some blanket or some heavy coat because of the cold. It was perfect.

Just a reminder that every time it hits me on the fact that we're all made from stardust and particles that blew out of that night sky, like the light that is hitting us from those now viewable dead stars hundreds and thousands of years old, I just want to grab the nearest person and explain it to them in exquisite detail until we both weep at the beauty and wonder that is our universe.
